The Benefits of Professional Tile Installation
While many homeowners consider a backsplash a DIY project, the precision required for a flawless finish is often underestimated. Professional tile installers in Washington have the specialized tools and experience to handle tricky cuts around outlets, uneven walls, and complex patterns. Hiring the pros at We Do Kitchens 2 ensures:
- Symmetry and Alignment: No crooked lines or awkward gaps.
- Longevity: Proper thin-set and grout application prevents tiles from cracking or falling off over time.
- Waterproofing: We ensure the barrier between your countertop and wall is perfectly sealed to prevent mold and water damage.
- Customization: We can execute intricate patterns like herringbone, chevron, or custom mosaics that are difficult for amateurs to master.
Popular Kitchen Wall Designs for Washington County Homes
Are you looking for inspiration? The world of kitchen backsplash design is vast. Here are some of the most popular trends we are currently installing for our clients in Washington County:
1. Classic Subway Tile
Subway tile remains a top choice because of its timeless appeal and versatility. While white remains a favorite, many homeowners are now opting for colored glass subway tiles or larger formats to create a more modern look. It fits perfectly in almost any kitchen style, from traditional to contemporary.
2. Intricate Mosaics
If you want your kitchen to have a focal point, a mosaic backsplash is the way to go. Using a mix of stone, glass, and metal, mosaics add texture and visual interest. These are particularly popular behind the stovetop to create a “feature wall” effect.
3. Natural Stone and Marble
For a luxury feel, nothing beats natural stone. Marble or travertine backsplashes offer a unique, organic look where no two tiles are exactly alike. This pairs beautifully with high-end quartz or granite countertops.
4. Bold Patterns
Geometric patterns and bold colors are making a huge comeback. For those who want to express their personality, we offer a variety of patterned tiles that can turn your kitchen into a work of art.
